Biography

Heather L. Blaise is a founding partner of Blaise & Nitschke, P.C., where she employs a creative and collaborative approach in representing a variety of clients, ranging from legendary rock and roll pioneers, to reality show celebrities, to up-and-coming artists. Heather applies her experience representing industry leaders, including entertainers, financiers, management companies, with a particular emphasis on both pursuing and defending claims for breach of contract, publicity rights, copyright and trademark infringement and other commercial disputes.
In addition to her entertainment practice, Heather has also represented corporations and entrepreneurs in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. She has acted as national litigation counsel and supervised local counsel in matters relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act, consumer class action proceedings, disgorgement of commissions for unlicensed talent agents, and other complex litigation ranging from contested domestic relations matters involving high profile performers and athletes to complex multi-jurisdictional custody disputes. Heather consistently applies a multidisciplinary approach to create innovative legal solutions for her clients, be it through favorable settlements or at trial.
Heather graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2005 and earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles in 2008, where she served as a member of Southwestern’s Law Journal of International Law. Prior to co-founding Blaise & Nitschke, P.C., Heather has previously held positions in the legal departments of Turner Entertainment Group, Independent Film & Television Alliance and Los Angeles-area entertainment boutique firms. Before becoming an attorney, Heather was a successful business owner of a fashion boutique and event promoter in Orlando, Florida.
Heather served as Principal for the Law Office of Heather L. Blaise, P.C. from 2008 to 2015, and served as Of Counsel to Oshana Law. She is licensed to practice law in both California and Illinois.
